Overlooking scenic Pansea Bay, the venue was designed with wall windows, providing spectacular views and abundant natural e-light. | Five international-standard golf courses are located within 30-40 minutes of The Surin, and visits can be easily arranged. The Blue Canyon Country Club is ranked amongst the finest courses in Asia and offers two championship layouts – the Lakes Course and the Canyon Course. The Phuket Country Club is an all-round course with excellent facilities. |
The Laguna Golf Club, just 10 minutes from The Surin, is a relaxed resort-style 18-hole course with wide fairways, while the Red Mountain Golf Club is the newest 18-hole course on the island, integrated into the lush hills of Kathu. |

| Subject to the weather and ocean conditions, a whole host of activities and water sports are available. Beach games, Catamaran, Snorkeling, Windsurf, Volleyball, two floodlit tennis courts, petanque and table tennis are on offer. Some activities are chargeable. |
| Snorkeling |
| On Pansea north side there is a reef is flush with fish. The best snorkeling is on the coral reef located on Koh We’, a few minutes away by speedboat. Snorkeling is available between December and April, weather and tide permitting. |
| PADI Diving Courses |
| The Surin’s preferred dive operator, H2O Sportz, is a 5-star PADI training facility offering accredited dive courses from introductory to advanced levels year-round. The introductory course is a quick and safe way to experience the thrill of scuba-diving in one day. The course consists of a brief introduction to dive equipment followed by a pool session during which basic skills are introduced. An instructor-led dive follows that same afternoon. |
PADI Open Water Certification and all other PADI courses are available, along with a wide range of dives for experienced guests. Full gear and private dive boats are available. The waters surrounding Phuket offer some spectacular diving experiences. Racha Island, less than 15 kilometers south of Phuket, is one of the most beautiful destinations in the region. The Malay word for ‘king’, Racha Island has two snow-white sand beaches and is a wonderful snorkeling and diving site. Just 40 minutes from the East coast marinas, Shark Point is a shallow dive site (about 10 meters). It is famous for its leopard sharks, bright-purple sea anemones, snappers and schools of moray eels. Koh Dok Mai, perhaps the area’s most spectacular dive site, is about 40 minutes away to the East. This wall dive takes you through caves and crevices filled with scorpion fish, sea anemones, coral and all the brilliant underwater marvels the Andaman Sea has to offer. |
