Thanboke Khoranee National Park in Thailand is located in Krabi Province, covering approximately 3 square kilometers. Located between mountains, it sees a stream passing through under the mountain to Ao Luk Tai, before entering into the Andaman Sea in the Laem Sak district. The geography of Tarn Bok Koranee National Park is mountainous with few plains, most of which would be found on shoulder of the mountain or in lower valleys. The limestone mountains are covered with the mixed tropical forest and given its location, also mangrove forest. Lovely streams, sea and beach is part of this park's environment. Several island, some 27 of them, consisting mainly of limestone, also form part of the parks islands. The area housing the park sees 2 seasons. The rainy season and hot season. The rainy season starts from end April and lasts till December. Most of the heaviest rain is experienced in September. November is cooler and dryer, seeing an average temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. The hot Season starts from mid of January and lasts until April every year. February sees the least rain and high temperatures. In April, sees and average temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. The vegetation found in the Tarn Bok Koranee National Park are copper pod, monkey faced tree, bat flower, ixora, fig tree, mango, red cadar, star gooseberry, banyan, bamboo, iron wood, banana and jambolan plum. Animal wildlife include wild pig, tiger, mountain goats, langur, mokeys and gibbons. Jungle fowl, common koel, spotted dove, white-breasted waterhen, pacific reef egret and brahminy kite are some bird species found here. Reptiles include chameleon, bengal monitor, king cobra, cobra, reticulated python and malayan pit viper. Fresh water aquatic animals include sumatran tiger barb and climbing perch. Other sea life include sea cucumber, coral, sea fan, horseshoe and crab.
