Sri Lanna National Park

Valleys, mountains and waterfalls is what awaits you in Sri Lanna National Park, Thailand's 6th largest national park. Located approximately 55 kilometers from Chiang Mai City, the park is home to no less than three large forests and include Mae Ngud, Mae Taeng and Chiang Dao Forests. The mountainous terrain is the source for the Mae Ping River, which include the Mon Hin Lai waterfall.

Sri Lanna National Park is surrounded by valleys and a mountain chain from north to south, the source of Mae Ngad reservoir. Here Chiang Mai accommodation takes the form of floating cottages or houses. Quite a different experience to just staying in Chiang Mai hotels. Restaurant facilities are also available here.

The Mon Hin Lai hiking trail in Sri Lanna national Park, stretches through a beautiful part of the park, passing by rivers crashing over a six level waterfall, huge banyan Trees and through evergreen forests. The Huay Mae Wa is another stunning and scenic trail in the park.

The Sri Lanna National park fuana and flora consist of mixed deciduous, moist evergreen, hill evergreen and Dipterocarp forests. Paa Dang Cave, situated in the Doi Paa Dang Mountain, is another must see tourist attraction in the park. Sri Lanna National Park animal wildlife include tiger, barking deer, bear, wild pig and monitor lizards.
