Phi Phi Island Dive Village is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Dive Centre since 1999, recognized to providing a full range of diver educational programs to marine environmental awareness, as part of Outrigger Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort & Spa. Phi Phi Island Dive Village is also a proud member of “Green Fins”, a new governing body under the auspice of the United Nations Environmental Program and Phuket Marine Biological Centre initiatives, launched 29 May 2007. As a member of PADI and Green Fins, Outrigger Phi Phi Island Village actively participates in helping toward conservation for the protection of a sensitive biodiversity for future generations that come, to appreciate one of nature’s most beautiful marine environments on earth.

Our Dive Village Centre provides full quality services and facilities in support to the selection of program courses available in aid to learning the basic fundamentals as a novice, to accommodating the most experienced of divers. Dive courses are available in many different languages.

Dive Sites The underwater environment ranges from deep underwater mountain formations, created by breathtaking pinnacles rising out of the sea, huge granite boulders and plunging limestone walls, to shallow colourful coral gardens with white sandy sea beds. Most diving takes place between 5 and 25 meters with water temperatures around 27 – 29°C. Some of the best diving is not more than 15 minutes away. Marine Attractions The Phi Phi Islands are famous for its colourful soft coral walls and healthy hard coral reefs. Here is good “macro” diving with Seahorses, Pipefish, Nudibranchs, Flatworms, even Frogfish. Leopard Sharks are a common sighting as are Black tip Reef Sharks, Blue Spotted Stingrays, Dolphins and Turtles are quite frequently seen as well. There are plenty of Lionfish, Scorpion Fish and tropical reef fish in all colours and shapes. Large pelagic fish including, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays and Eagle Rays are seen occasionally throughout the year. More challenging dives are available to those with appropriate certification. |
