At 247km² Koh Samui (25km long and 21km wide) is the third largest island in Thailand. In just two decades Samui has blossomed into one of Asia's leading holiday destinations with some of the best Samui Hotels in Thailand. Samui lays 700km south of Bangkok and about 80km from the eastern coastline, located in the Gulf of Thailand (bordering the South China Sea in the Pacific Ocean).
