If you like it really hot, with maximum temperatures averaging between 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, March to August is a good time to go. Few showers are experienced during this time with minimum temperatures averaging 25 degrees Celsius later in the evening.

The weather on Koh Samui is influenced mainly by the north Eastern monsoon, blowing in from China and Vietnam. The dry season arrives in December and remain so until February. The rainy or cooler season brought about by the monsoons, starts September and persist until November. During this time average maximum temperatures reach 31 degrees and the average minimum 24 degrees Celsius. The average rainfall per month for this period is approximately 250 mm with November seeing the highest rainfall with around 300 mm. This does not mean rain days on end though. With the tropical climate, showers are experienced two to three times per day, lasting for an hour or two and hours of sunshine still to be enjoyed.

Samui has a tropical climate and there is not really a bad time of the year to go there. It typically has two seasons, dry and rainy.
