The climate and weather on Koh Samet, like all the other islands of Thailand, is tropical and the weather therefore warm and sunny most of the time. Ko Samet has basically two seasons. The hot and dry season and the rainy season. November to April is hot and dry with maximum temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius in November, rising steadily to reach 36 degrees in April. Minimum temperatures during this time vary between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius. This is regarded by many as the best time to visit Koh Samet May to December sees the rainy season. This however does mean you have rain weeks or even just days on end. Rain comes in the form of a thunder storm, which can be nice and cooling, followed by sunshine and humidity.
