Phi Phi Climate and Weather |
|
Before planning your vacation and booking Koh Phi Phi Resorts, here is everything you should know about the climate and weather. The island is located in Krabi Province to the south of Thailand and therefore experience the same weather conditions during the same time of year as popular Thailand destinations like Koh Lanta and Phuket. The weather warm all year round and even during the so-called rainy season more sun than rain is often experienced. The rainy season is start from May to November and the average temperature during this time is approximately 28 degrees Celsius.
Many people prefer this “low season” time of year since resort accommodation is cheaper and you share the island with much less other tourists. However, if you are here for scuba diving, underwater visibility might not be at it's best.
One of the down sides of this time is that boats often cannot get into Maya Bay, one of the main attractions on the uninhabited sister island, due to waves making entry into the bay dangerous. The best time to visit the island is from December until April. This time sees the least rain and calm seas.
The best time to go to Koh Phi Phi, if weather is your primary consideration, is from mid / end November to April / mid May. During this time very little rain is experienced, humidity is lower and temperatures average 28 degrees Celsius. |
