	The calm clear waters around Koh Phangan in the protected gulf of Thailand, an abundance of colourful marine life, coral reefs and the proximity of the small island of Koh Tao, considered the most pristine diving spot in all of South East Asia, makes Koh Phangan one of the perfect Thailand travel destinations if scuba diving is part of your plans. Many scuba dive centers can be found all over the island. There are also plenty of beach dive sites and areas easily accessible for snorkelers.
It is a very inexpensive place to learn to dive with Padi open water courses at some of the best rates in the world. Courses range from beginner to diving instructor.
Jet skiing around Koh Phangan
	If you want to feel the adrenaline rush of moving across the water fast, or just want to take a scenic cruise on the back of a water pony and get a view of the island from a different angle, head down to Haad Rin Beach. Jet skis are standing ready for use.

Koh Phangan Jungle Safaris
	Ninety percent of Koh Phangan is uninhabited mountain and jungle, inviting tourist to explore and experience this inner beauty of the island. Organize a one day or over night trip via most Koh Phangan resorts and go elephant trekking through the jungle. On this journey you will see the Chinese Temple, visit the beautiful Phaeng waterfall, stop at the Dome Sila viewpoint and go swim at Than Nam Raak waterfall. Also included is snorkeling at Mae Haad Bay and a visit to another waterfall called Sadej Waterfall. An experience not to be missed.

Koh Phangan Fishing
	This trip normally takes place in a long tail boat and can be organized via your resort. You will need your own tackle of you want decent gear, which can also be found on the island.

	Kayaks are for rent from most beaches, this is a wonderful way to admire the beauty around you at your own time and pace.

Koh Phangan Boat Trips
	These are easy to organize and cheap. Organize a trip via your resort and see the entire island from a different angle. The trip normally includes Bottle Beach, Than Sadet waterfall, Koh Ma and Koh Tae.

Koh Phangan Mountain Biking / Hiking
	Bikes can be rented in most towns and are generally in good condition. Koh Phangan is predominantly hilly and mountainous, so be prepared for a challenge.
