Koh Mak Climate and Weather |
Part of the Koh Chang archipelago, the climate and weather on Koh Mak is tropical and the islands experience the exact same weather patterns. The best time to visit Koh Mak is November to April when very little rain is experienced and the air is cool, dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures rise steadily from 30 degrees Celsius in November to 36 degrees in April and toward May.
June to October sees the monsoons during which rain and rougher seas can be expected. However, a visit during this time can still be enjoyed since rain come in the form of thundershowers for an hour or two, followed by sunny skies and humidity. Boat and ferry travel can become difficult and is often erratic due to rougher seas. Maximum temperatures during this time decline from 34 degrees Celsius in May to 29 degrees in November. Minimum temperatures during this time average 24 degrees Celsius. |
