Koh Kut Climate and Weather |
As with all Thailand travel destinations, the climate and weather on Koh Kut is tropical and the weather is therefore warm and sunny most of the time. Koh Kut, like Ko Mak, is part of the Koh Chang archipelago, and therefore has the same weather patterns, influenced by the north eastern monsoon. Trat province's mountainous geography protects it from severe storms though.
The best time to visit Koh Kut hotels is November to April when very little rain is experienced and the air is cool, dry and mostly sunny. The maximum temperatures during this time reach 30 degrees Celsius in November, rising steadily to 36 degrees in April and even into May. Minimum temperatures during this time vary between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius.
June to October sees the monsoons during which rain and rougher sees can be expected. Maximum temperatures during this time reaches 34 degrees Celsius in June, dropping steadily to 30 degrees Celsius in October. The minimum temperatures experienced during this time is 24 degrees Celsius on average.
A visit during this time can still be enjoyed since it never rain days on end. Boat and ferry travel can become difficult and is often erratic due to rougher seas, sometimes making the island unreachable. It is important therefore to plan the time you visit Thailand hotels on this island carefully. Back to Top |
