Hotels Hua Hin - Transportation

Transportation while staying in hotels in Hua Hin and Cha-am is as easy, cheap and plentiful as anywhere else in Thailand. Below is a description of the options on getting around in Hua Hin and Cha-Am. Many hotels in Hua Hin offer shuttle services, dropping off and picking up tourists at specific places and areas of interest. Some are free and some charge a small fee.

Tuk Tuk’s is one of the favourite modes of transport in Hua Hin. They are waiting for business everywhere you look. Parked outside the entrances of hotels in Hua Hin, in front of Hua Hin's Market Village shopping Mall, at the markets and along roads all over town, transport is readily available. Of course, meter taxis are as readily available to take you anywhere in and around town and even as far as Bangkok. Several car rental agencies are located around Hua Hin should you wish to travel at your own time and leisure.

Scooters are also for rent as a means of transport in Hua Hin, Scooter Taxi's, great for short distances and available at virtually all hours of the day and night. They wear red, green or yellow vests and will take you anywhere. Do negotiate the price before you get on. Fares depend on the distance and your bargaining skills. Not the safest mode of transport but convenient.

Hua Hin transport includes, Samlors (bicycle rickshaws) are available for short journeys and costs almost nothing. Alternatively, travel with the locals in a songthaew or baht bus for approximately 50 to 100 Baht to any destination in town. These are pick trucks with two wooden benches on the back and a canopy for cover over your head.
