Hua Hin has a beach with a character and atmosphere for every requirements. The main beach which sees hotels like The Hilton, Sofitel Centara Grand and Anantara located directly on the soft sands offers pony rides for the kids, colourful kites be seen as surfers enjoy them selves in the late afternoons, banana boat rides brings children's laughter and vendors sell curious, clothes and other accessories. The beach has an uplifting atmosphere, yet it is never over crowded or noisy. Informal eateries are available here and several restaurants entice with flavours wafting into the breeze to entice you inside during an evening stroll. A little further down to where the beach ends is Takiab, famous for its larger than life Buddha statue standing atop a hill which also serves as a view point. Taking can be seen at the end of the 8 kilometers stretch of Hua Hin's beach and feature its own luxury resorts like The Rock and a few others. In the other direction the beach is quiet and sees very little activity besides quint restaurants which are a highlight and delight for open air meals in the tropical climate. Moving on further south is Cha-am with another 10 kilometer beach. During week-ends and public holidays this beach is popular with Thais creating an exiting atmosphere. Again there is no shortage of restaurants along the beach-side and an assortment of hotels and other accommodation venues.
