Hua Hin Railway Station |

Certainly worth a visit is the Hua Hin railway station with the Royal Waiting Room commissioned by King Rama VI in 1922. This typical Thai design brightly painted station has a distinctive Victorian feel to it. Also visit The Railway Hotel, now called The Hotel Sofitel Centara Grand Beach Resort. The hotel has been restored to its original 1920’s elegance. |
Hua Hin Floating Markets |

Located within walking distance of each other, the Sam Phan Nam Floating Market and floating market Hua Hin is located in Soi Hua Hin 112, a short distance from the train station in the city. |
Hua Hin Beach |

The town's beautiful 5 km long flat beach, stretches from a rocky headland to Khai Takiep Hill on the Southern end. Here a Buddhist temple clings to the hill and is an attraction for both Thai and foreign tourists. This lovely beach and Hua Hin’s close proximity to Bangkok, has ensured its popularity for a long time to come. |
Klai Kangwon Palace |

The summer palace, Klai Kangwon, meaning, far from worries, was built by Prince Chulachakrabongse in 1926. It is not open for tourists and still used by the Royal Family today. |
Hua Hin Temples |

There are several temples in and around the town, the main temple being Wat Ampharam in the twon center. This large complex is home to the many monks that can be seen collecting alms in the early morning. The temple at Bor Fai (Wat Bor Fai) has some impressive ponds teeming with catfish which you can feed after a small donation to the monks, it's located about 5km north of Hua Hin. |

There are also the temples at Khao Takiab and one to the west, Wat Khao Krailas with some impressive Buddha statues. Huay Mongkol Temple is located about 10km west of Hua Hin. Thousands of Thai Buddhist pilgrims come to visit Wat Huay Mongol Temple every weekend to pay homage to the largest Buddha image of Luang Phor Tuad in Thailand.

There are several hills the beach offering splendid view points from where the beauty of the surroundings can be appreciated. Takiap Hill at the Southern end of the beach, has a temple and Buddha image and also provides a great vantage point of the beach line. Next to Takiep Hill is Krailat Hill, also featuring an old Buddhist temple and many Buddha images several hundred years old. |
Hua Hin Night Market |

The most popular market is the night market in the center of town. This opens daily from around 6 pm till late and offers all sorts of local food, clothing, handicraft and much more. This market is quite touristy and therefore prices are a bit higher that other local markets. While enjoying a leisurely evening stroll, vendors will interest you with handy crafts, polished sea shells, souvenirs, clothes and fresh seafood. It has an easy family atmosphere and is a great past time before settling down at one of Hua Hin’s many great restaurants. |

Located right in the heart of Hua Hin opposite the Hilton hotel is the Sunshine Restaurant and bakery. It offers an European menu and sports a German bakery. Offering mainly European dishes, Thai and seafood cuisine can also be enjoyed in the restaurant’s garden. Many other fantastic eateries exist, not mentioning restaurants in top Thailand hotels and resorts like the Marriot Hua Hin and many others.

Hua Hin Nightlife |

As mentioned, the town does not cater for one in search of a raunchy wild nightlife experience. Instead, it is a more reserved family orientated location. It offers several live jazz music acts and local talent, clusters of beer bars and several family friendly pubs, bars and a disco or two. The Hilton Resort offers a club on Friday and Saturday nights. The absence of a hard core nightlife is what creates this area's tourist profile and help preserve its quiet, tranquil and more conservative feel.

Here there are no shortage of local markets. Chat Chai day market is just down from the Hua Hin night market and is mostly undercover. Here you can buy fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat at local prices. It has recently been through a total refurbishment and is no longer as dim and dingy as before. A visit is worth the experience to watch the locals go through their daily shopping routines. Join in as well, you'll enjoy it. The weekend market at the Grand Hotel runs from Thursday to Sunday and offers something different again. |
