Cha-am is located in the Phetchaburi province along the east coast of The Gulf of Thailand and a mere 2 hours drive from Bangkok. Another 25 kilometers further brings you to the town of Hua Hin, Thailand's royal town and home of His Majesty the King. Cha-am sports fabulous beach resorts, hotels and golf resorts and popular with those who require a peaceful stay without too much hindrances. The town sports a several kilometer long beach which feature some of the best hotels in the area. Being popular with Thais from Bangkok as a week-end retreat the main beach can become a little crowded over public holidays and some weekends during the hot season.
