The traffic in Bangkok is on the best of days chaotic and while you waste time sitting in the congestion the taxi meter keeps running. The best alternative is the Bangkok BTS skytrain. It meanders through the city with two lines, namely the Sukhumvit and Silom Line stopping by more than 30 stations and inter-changing with each other at Siam station. There is almost nowhere you cannot get to and our map of the skytrain lines indicating each station will be a great help if you are a first time visitor to Bangkok.

To add even more convenience the MRT underground which covers more destinations in the city links with the skytrain at Sala Daeng Station if you need to get on the Silom line and also at Asoke station if you need to get on the Sukhumvit line. The airport rail link's commuter city line intersects with the BTS at Paya Thai and with the MRT underground at Makkasan Station. This may sound a little confusing, but its actually very simple and using our BTS map will greatly improve your understanding of the rail system, plus we offer a list of hotels in Bangkok near skytrain stations, from luxury 5 star to budget 3 star hotels.
